It's been almost 4 yrs. since my last blogging attempt. This go round will be more consistent. I feel more compelled to write and post these days. I am less concerned about being 'exposed' on the internet mostly because I don't feel you can stay in the shadows anymore. There is so much that needs to be said and acted on. Besides, everyone is exposed in some way or another on the internet--you can't really do much about it. You could say I'm evolving through a 'fearless' quest of being more present in real life and the virtual world.
This blog will center on my personal and professional experiences of moving to New Orleans, LA and working with the rebuilding and recovery of the city post-Katrina. My work is with a nonprofit that provides homebuyer education and counseling, homeownership advocacy, and housing redevelopment. This is a unique opportunity at this exploratory juncture in my life.
